Lsd kombi gearbox


I have got a V8 baywindow and am now wanting an LSD diff for better burnouts and driving style, holeshots etc...

can a mini spool set up be made fot the standard transporter 2L gearbox?

it has to be possible... porshce did it...

any help is great

Probably be cheaper just to find an old one and weld it up. But yes a minispool would be available from someone coz quite a few Aussie drag racers are using Kombi boxes now. As for LSDs, Quaife make them, but at $4k you might find them a little exy. The other alternative is a super diff. Most people are happy with them for the drags and they are almost impossibel to blow up from what I hear. Alban's offroad would be the people to talk to.

get a quaife diff if you have a few spare grand.

Looking at the Quaife web site, it seems a Type 2 LSD can be had for 'only' PST 500 (plus, of course, the cost to fit). Doesn't seem too unreasonable; looks like you might get it landed in Oz for AUD 1500 - 2000.

Not that my 2 litre Transporter needs one...
