Split Bus information from Chassis Number

I have received an email from the UK, as follows:

"Hi
[...].

A while back my partner and I bought an recently imported from Australia VW
spilt screen micro bus. I think the chassis number reads MKAK 1709.

I haven’t got any history etc and I was wondering if you could shed some
light on this, or knows of anyone that can,
[...]"

Ca anyone help identify this bus's year and assembly location?

tia

That doesn't look like a chassis number.

this number has been stamped at the clayton factory and is used as a production line number to identify the type and content and number of that particular vechikle...ozzy production was unique compared to the rest of the world, on the left side single cabs had a P/U for pick up on the right side is the chassis number is stamped.. there are many more and will over a period of time unravel the mystery cheers steve
