Engine jerky at speed..

Yesterday my car started doing something funny.. when you're cruising along holding a speed (not accelerating or slowing) the engine seems to go really rough, spitting and sputting and making the whole car jerk around.. as soon as i accelerate its smooth again.. what gives?

It also starting idling roughly at the same time, so i'm guessing its associated!

The car had compu-fire electronic ignition installed a few weeks ago.. not sure if that helps

Generally if it misfires on light/no load it's fuel related. If it goes off under load it's electrical. But ur nonstock ign system is a wild card! Can u replace it temporarily?

Hey,
Had sort of the same prob, bus was always running slightly rough and bit jerky or un even. Tried balancing the carbs many times buit that wasnt the prob. It ended up being the linkage adjusted for throttle (duel carbs). Once that was adjusted it ran really smooth... took less than 2 mins to adjust aswell... check that.
