All red tail lights.

Ok, I bought these tail lights knowing that you cant have red tail lights in aus.

Now, I also dont have side mirrors, clear front indicators with clear globes, and no rear seatbelts.
all of which make the car completely legal due to age, and the car coming that way from factory.

is it possible does anyone know if i state the car came with red tail lights i can get away with it.

coz damn they look good.

i notice resto 64 has them on. infact his car is a near match to mine.

so, anyone? help :D

think of it as making a bug look better :D

OR: is there anyway to make the indicators flash orange btut still look red on the outside., i put orange globes in there, it does help abit, but the red is rather overpowering.

hey buddy dont fear, ive had my car for 5 years with US Spec tail lights (all red)

Looks 100x better than stock and never once have been pulled over.

A lot of US imports like Mustangs have red tails too just make bs about how it came from the factory. Mine even say Hella with the factory part number.

If u are very paranoid u can fit LED bulbs in the tail and they are soo bright they will over power the red and blink orange

I say leave it no one will have a prob as long as they flash thats the main thing.

yeah, i reckon i can get away with them on, the car is that old and has that many oddities most cars have as standard that i can say the car is registered that way, plus im restoring it, so can say keeping it original.
btw, hell yeah looks WAY better, ever since herbie loved the all red. :D

You might get away with it.......until you have an accident and the insurance company discover your illegal tail lights - bye bye insurance cover....
