Thought I would finally give it a go..
Bought a pinstriping brush at the Ballarat Swap Meet(Sword Mack 00) and have started today having a play with it.
Don't look too closely, but you can get the idea, and the effect..

As you can see, or for those that can't, I added the blue pinstripe around the flames which has a fantastic effect.
Just need more practice now. I think the hardest part is line consistency, as in width.. but dunno. Wierd, but cool.
Definetly not easy.

Thanks Matt.. Plenty of practice still needed. It is obviously an artform that takes a while, like most. It sure makes you appreciate it all a bit

Heres a tip for you Jim.....
Practice pulling a straight line with a feather in a tray of nice dry loose sand....
Then when you start to 'feel' the flow, try and pull nice flowing lines in the sand with the same feather. What you are trying to do is get a
'feel' for the flow of a line... Its and ancient oriental calligraphy technique.... I use this method I a lot of my art... I haven't ever tried
pullingstripes, but the principle is the same....
