SOUTH AFRICAN BEETLE 1975

Purchased this for my daughter. lots of different items to our beetle of same year.
pan has link pin front & swing rear
unique front wheel bearings and brake drums
different seats and interior materials.
standard pop-out windows
wide five pattern and rostyle wheels (i have them)
has heaps more sound deadener/rust proof under body.
car came with SA number plates and SA first aid kit and some O.E parts.
very happy with purchase and only required front end work for road worthy. :thumb

Hi

I wonder how the front end fits in, as the 1302 & 1303 had a longer wheel base than a beam front end beetle, so they must use a special pan.

Pan must be similar to 1303 but with a different head on it - like you say Steve, longer wheelbase.

I like it alot - looks great for a factory stock bug, and plus the curved windscree with the different bonnet looks nice too.

Hi

Maybe with the stubby nose it has the short wheelbase still. All type 1 pans are the same from the napolean hat backwards. Oops apart from IRS and swingers having the obvious mounting points.
