They don't know whether you have six other family members and/ or mates driving them all day as well as yourself.

The thing is it is impossible for them to know how many k's you do a year, however they know you have 7 registered vehicles.

But if you never drive it, it's not really adding to 'jobs for Aussies' or our economy, is it?

On a similar bent...

If you don't have an insurance broker as an agent get one. I live next to an insurance broker who is an agent for greenslips and comprehensive. We enjoy BBQ's and borrow tools off each other. Compare lawns and mind each others kids.

I can easily say he has saved us 1000's of dollars just through good advice alone. We are loyal to those providers that matter and swap providers when the best prices verses cover is on offer. The cheapest and biggest provider is not always the best. Some covers can be only a few dollars more but when the sh!t hits the proverbial (and it does) you can save big dollars there too.

When we first moved in and he introduced himself as an insurance agant I thought "here we go!" To the contary it has been the best for us. Young family, car enthuasist.

I don't like the whole concept of insurance and how it prays on peoples fears but if you have to have it then be smart about it and do a little bit of research. For goodness sakes sit down and read some of the fine print in the contracts. He does and it is truly amazing what is written and more importantly - what is not written into contracts.

I think someone has a little to much money..
I'd be more inclined to be having a go at all the car audio places and tune shops that take your money.
Insurance costs would be penuts in comparison to what you have spent on those cars in 6 years.:o

Oh and whats wrong with bowser attendants as you call them?.
I am one, and i work hard putting up with snot nose pricks that like to think they are better then me every day.:vader

i may not be short of a quid but i dont believe in wasting money either as i said
we can only drive one car at a time compulsory third party effects everyone quid or not
bowser attendant claims he/she works hard for money and probably finds it hard to sleep at night thinking someone somewhere might be low on gas:P never mind employing 250ppl and striving to make enough money to keep the business going so you can continue to pay those employees so they might support their families

my gripe essentially is if i have 1 or 100 cars i am personally not going to do any more klms therfore having no more chance of claiming 3rd party i can only drive 1 at a time
but if i own and maintain 1 car i pay $389.90 third party
if i own and maintain 100 cars i pay $38990.00 third party

But you have to think about the situation where someone has 100 cars registered in their name and 100 different people driving them.

if it were payable on your licence the cost would be shared between 100 ppl that is on each persons licence
after all 3rd party covers the driver not the car
