Don't forget to get a dog's eye (ie. meat pie) with a bit of dead horse (ie. sauce) on the way home from the shops, also shorten words wherever
possible, particularly peoples names. They are generally shortened to one syllable if possible, and then have a suffix added to the end. Here are a
few examples:-
"a" - A Cup of Tea or Coffee becomes a Cuppa.
"ie" - Angela becomes Angie.
Australian becomes Aussie
Barbecue become Barbie
Elizabeth becomes Lizzie
Football becomes Footy, pronounced with a soft "T" somewhere between T & D.
"o" - Burgess becomes Burgo
Johnathon becomes Johnno
Smoko means a break from work for a smoke, which now means a tea break even if you don’t smoke.
"zza" or just "z’ - Marion become Mazza or Maz
Sharon become Shazza or Shaz
I trust this information will help ease the transition into true citizenship....I think we'll have to start calling you "Ando" as it is a bit more
Oz than "Andy". Also using phrases such as "piece of piss" instead of saying something will be "simple" or "easy" is important too. Hope this

go grab the book 'the complete guide to 'strian' the definitive collection of slang and shortened terms for all things aussie.
i've also prepared a list of clothing apparel required to maintain a genuine 'strian' appearance:
cork bobble akubra
driza-bone coat
crocodile tooth necklace/wristbands/belt
wrangler jeans
thongs
bonds undies (if you cant find an outlet, skin the crocodile)
wife beater
stubbie holder (attach it to the crocodile teeth)
winnie blues (or if you're a real man, go reds)
also let it be known that real strians dont shave unless absolutely necessary, so one a week should be fine. this also applies to bathing.
other than that, congratulations on joining the most awesome and civilised people on this earth!
