Chassis number 1122719999, what year/model?

Hey, I just went for a visit to see Susanne (My other Super) and I had a look at the chassis numbers (I think it was 1122719999) What does this tell me?

10 numbers for chassis from late 69 to 1979..

Should have the compliance plate in the front behind the spare wheel.

it should have a compliance plate dude,
on the front apron when u open the bonnet
not in the glovebox like this LOL my radiator was in the way
if its missing u might have some trouble getting it registerd
alot of other things on the car are dated like speedos, tank senders, glass, wheels, steering box etc

It does not have a compliance plate AT ALL...
And I'll have no trouble registering it, my Veronika only has the Chassis stamp, so they used that when I got her registered.

thats wierd
well i just checked all mine
my Lbug has the compliance plate on the apron and another little plate next to the spare wheel, my yellow 74 1300 is the same it has the comp plate as well as the little plate and the rota bug just has the comp plate in the glove box but it may have had the little plate, that section is cut out 4 the radiator
i remeber my old Sbug having it too but as u can see the little plates look like a chassis number but isnt
if u check this to the chassis number under ur backseat u notice it dosnt match, i dont know wtf the little one is

Yeah, it's meant to be there, but it has been removed sometime in the last 30 odd years. Oh well, at least I know it's a '72 1302S now!

no compliance plate will cause you some annoying troubles. Chances are you other car was early enough never to have one
