FS: 54 Beetle, Bare Shell Only (Shell & Doors Pending)
Well another 54 project car is coming my way soon, so I'm looking to move my current shell on to another home.
It needs a lot of work, basically most of the bottom 6-8 inches will need rust replacement work done, so its not for the faint of heart. I started
the paint stripping process by hand a while ago so its half in paint, half in etch primer.
The main bits of nastiness that will need to be replaced are both heater channels, front bulkhead (at least the lower bit) bottoms of the rear
quarters just above the heater channels, top of the parcel tray above the engine bay and the rear apron will need replacing. Theres a few spots on
the fender mounting strips also. On the plus side the dash is uncut and the body is pretty straight from what I can tell.
I've got a drivers side heater channel from a 60's bug that can go with the shell.
Theres a W decklid not rusty but needing a new spring plate, clunker doors (passenger needs rust repair, driver is pretty solid), and some other bits
lying around that can all be included or not depending on what you want. 4 tab bonnet can be included as can the og front fenders and 60's rears.
I've got heaps of pics of the good & bad bits at home which I can post / email if needed.
May even consider cutting it up if there's enough interest on specific bits that people need.
It wont come with:
Pan (do have a 57 pan tho')
Motor or running gear
Interior
Steering wheel or column
Suspension
Basically just a bare shell
I'm looking for $800. Add up the cost of separate parts (like the decklid $300) and I think its reasonable. Reply, email or U2U if interested.
I'm about 10 mins north east of the CBD of Adelaide.
Cheers
Greg

Bump for 54's
C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.

Bump time, if anyone in Melb wants this to go with the pan that ruckus has (or any other pan I guess), I could be talked into meeting you halfway in
Mount Gambier, if that helps. Would need to add a little bit to the price though, just a thought.............

Bump
Got a bit of interest in doors, anyone else want some bits of it. Will start cutting it up if enough people want separate bits like the dash, rear
window, bonnet, decklid etc.
C'mon I've got to shift it so I can get the other one in the shed. Then the tarps can come off so I can take some pics, everyone loves pics....

Sorry, from memory the "new" project has a bare drivers door so I will need to keep the mech for myself.
Never hurts to ask though
