Our weekend at Levuka 4WD Park
We spent easter at Levuka 4WD park, near Urbanville in NSW. The Getaway Club from the Gold Coast ran the weekend with entertainment on Friday and
Sunday night, a day scavenger hunt ,questionaire and off road challenge, as well as a night challenge.
We were the only 2WD car entered and we got a lot of cheers and well dones, after each off road event. One of the officials told us that people had
'fallen in love' with the beetle.
We completed all driving tasks without getting stuck or towed!!! BUT can't say the same for a few 4wd's. Actually the answer and question bits were
the hardest. HAHAHA.
We were asked on a few challenges 'ARE you taking that DOWN there???????'. On one of the driving tasks we got no deductions...... we were only 1 of
a very few that did. It was amazing the number of people who came over and had a look and then owned up to previously owning Baja's and VW's 'in
their younger days'
We had a great weekend, and have am booking us in for next Easter, as soon as I have done this post. Apparently different 4WD clubs run the Easter
events programme - The Getaway Club has just done their 4th year.

This one is Igor going down in the creek we turned left and drove along the creek then up the grassy hill where some of the 4bies had trouble getting

The first picture is Igor about to give the hill a go!!
The 2nd one is Igor about half way up with me working hard at the wheel
The 3rd one is Igor coming up the the midway hump then the hill climbs again

Great pics Marc and Kathy.
Well yes it sure was a great weekend. Very relaxing. for some of us that did not have our off-road VW running.
Thank you for putting that great picture up of me guys..... Not the best angle of me bending down but hay when you chop wood its not the most best
pose and i had to show the guys up :P
Some of you guys know that Boof is no longer in one piece anymore and the Country Buggy we have taken to stripping and replacing new bits to so its
upside down at the moment having new heater thingies put into it and we are replacing other items. Once Country Buggy is all together we are going to
go back and have another go... dont know when this will be but for sure will be soon.
However we will be ready for Easter 2007.
