dash knobs on 74 bug

can anyone tell me what the function of some of the dash knobs on a 74 beetle are??
There are a total of 4 switches/knobs on the dash 2 above and 2 below where the radio cutout is. The switch on the top left i know is the headlight switch etc... the two at the bottom are some type of controls for the air vents???? they rotate about 1 turn then stop.
The one at the top right i have no idea what its for.

any help would be appreciated.

see.... air and water do mix ;)

Top right is wipers, is on our 71 Super anyway. Turn for wipe 1 & 2 speed. Press it in the middle and the squirter should work if there is air in the spare and pressure in the water bottle.

Bottom are fresh air vents. The ones just above the speedo and above the glovebox behind the grab handle.

Top left in my '70 is headlights.... top right is wipers (2 speed, even though they work as one LOL).... bottom two are both for the fresh air vents, they open and close the flaps inside the black thing that sits inside the front trunk behind wiper motor.

I thought that might be the case for a '74 model. Give EgeWorks a holler, he has a '73 which might be the same as '74. :)

PBB - this is different
This beetle is a 74 standard - not a super.

It would be the same as a 76.

best person to contact is Lee - buzzbug
This is the model he has.

The fresh air vents more than likely have bent wires. They push/pull a thick wire. As the lever gets old it gets tight and the wire just bends back and forth.
Bugger to fix, as you need to replace the wire as the kink will always be there.

this is how the vent box and controls look out of the car
