No, but that is not a bad conversion at all. Be worth looking at as it looks like a nice little car. Could be good for a big motor and some wheels.
Dump it and it could be one of the coolest cars in Oz. The real concern would be how he braced it when he chopped the top off.

The factory actually did make a Type 3 Convertible, but it didn't get into production.

The factory apparantly made 10 notch convertibles , these were given to the head honshos of Vw, 2 are known to exist both owned by Vw in Germany.
Where the others went or are is anyones guess.... im still looking....:duh

My dad did that to a square once back in the 70's... pillars and roof rusted out so they just chopped the roof right off!
