Twin carb type 3 ??

I owned one back in the 70s... 1970 model variant

went very well.... didn't seem to be too hungry for fuel...

not much different to a 1600cc Beetle...

but they are not fuel efficient when compared to late model cars....

11L/100kms-ish round town and up to 7L/100kms-ish on a late night low load cruise if ya lucky

Give it any stick and more like 13-12L round town and 10L / 100 on a run

I went on a VW club drive the other day... we averaged around 70mph over about 300km, driving pretty hard.
I worked out that we averaged around 10L/100km's! So i'm pretty happy about that!

This is a stock twin carb 1600 type 3 notchback
