Indicator problem with kombi, steering column too low?


My indicators on a 75 kombi dont self cancel, the drive column shaft has slipped down but I cant raise it. What should I do?

loosen the shear screw in the outer column raise the outer section the retighten shear screw

Hi

The shear bolt needs to be replaced with an allen head screw. You can remove the shear screw with an easy out, they not very tight usually.

i had the same prob, i just took off the steering wheel, took out the 3 screws olding the little self canceler and put 1 washer under each, works a treat but i got a gap betwee steering wheel and steering colum which i dont lile.
