Help out a newbie!!! Hey everyone!!!
Hi everyone!
Just arrived from the UK and getting into the aussie VeeDub scene. I thought that i should stop in and say hi and ask for some help too! I'm living
in Scarborough WA - 10 kms north of Perth.
Always been a golf man coz beetles are expensive and rusty in the UK, but i now have the oportunity to own a decent and solid bug to tinker with in my
spare time and cruise in on the weekend.
I need some advice on what i should be looking for in a bug....
I have about 2500 dollars to spend and i want to get as much as i can for my money.
I would like to know where to look for rust, what's expensive to repair if it's broken and common complaints on bugs.
Tomorrow i am going to look at a 1965/66 yellow 1300cc 4spd manual. WA registered. paint faded but looks tidy and straight in picture. (Click on the
link below for the Pic)

It's up for 2000 dollars and has mp3 kenwood and speakers. Is this a good price or not???
Any help would be appreciated guys
Thanks in advance
Steve-o!

Hi mate...
You emigrated?
I'm moving to NSW in November and will be looking for a ride just like you. I've been looking at prices for a while just to see what the going rate
is. The Bristish pound seems to buy quite a lot compared to crazy UK prices!... could be easy to pay top dollar cos it felt like a bargain.
The yellowun looks tidy enough and at a good price, but I'll let a "native" make a better judgement.
Good luck...
