HOLY COW!

lol, they are a big ass fish mate, and once u catch on of them from the beach line, its something u would never forget.

I wouldn't know, but crazy grandpa, his fish, and bathtub stories, Haha. (he doesn't catch as many now, but fished off the coasts of coffs harbour)

How long ago was this Jeff?
That was certainly a hell of an achievement. Hopefully it wasn't a long walk to your car, Haha.

Hmm, me feels a volkwagen group fishing adventure would be the bomb... maybe at valla, when i might have my own set of wheels.

Caught a 35.5kg yellow tail kingfish a few years ago in 15 foot of water. Ran like mad and took 3 of us to get it under control. Chased it for 40min around the bay in the boat before it gave up. Awesome. Ill try to find the pics. How much did your mulloway (jewie) weigh?

Yeah it was a cracka, 72lbs is a good size, nice and fat. Some guy got a 44kg off the rocks with a beach setup and real heavy line later on that week after we left. I couldn't believe it. There's a place over here that they all come and just school up. They hunt in packs and you just have to have any kind of live bait and the attack. You never know what size they are until you get them close as they fight dirty. We have been going to the same spot every year for 5 years and hooked up with lots but never got one in the boat until then. It is in a big bay with lots of channel markers and break waters. We were lucky that this one swam straight out into the open. Still looking for the pic.
