new 1641 timing?


just wondering what you guys would time a 1641 with a duel throat weber and a oo9 dizzy at?10` before top dead centre?

you should time your engine so that max timing is like 30~32 deg at 2500+rpm. It does not matter what the static timing works out to be :)

Check out this site, the guy that runs it often posts in here. But for the abridged version you will need a timing light with an advance feature....or you can calculate where 32 deg is. Hold the phone..

print out this bad boy...use it as a template them mark 30 deg on your pully with a file or hacksaw blade. Then jusr put a standard timing light on her and give her a rev. How easy is that :)
