Dear Nutter !!!!!!!!!
If you find one here in Australia you have done well.
I asked your same question 12 months ago
on this forum....No luck.
I run a twin battery ..smart charging system
Jacar kit.. and wanted more grunt out of
my 55 Amper

As far as I know the 70 amper only came with
the petrol fired heaters because the heaters
sucked the battery system so VW upped
the output of the amp.

I have made several enquires in Canada as
their winters go way below zerro .

Not much luck either

Try" Buss Boys" in the U.S. The postage will
Kill you

Let us know how you go or lets hear from some one who has one on their Type 2
.......anyone at all........

P.S.

There is a good site by Richard Atwell
He has a good read on 70 Ampers..look it up

Come on lads

Lets hear from

Classic Vee Dub in Rydalmere (Sydney NSW) now have 75 amp kits. Give George a call, he's awesome! :D

Thanks Pretty Blue and glider 69

Yes I did check that add out but wrong type of
alternator and wrong type of motor

The add is for an upright motor.

Where what we are after is for the flat motor
1700 / 1800/ 2000 cc with an output of 70 amps

The 70 amp alt. has a fan atached to the pulley
to help with the cooling of the unit. It's a bit like the
fan/pulley that are on the modern units these days on OTHER cars

Hope that helps
