Friday Night Lights
ok - so i thought id go for a fang tonight (Saturday) - its about 8:00pm - i leave my place and am driving down the street - pull out onto the main rd
and am crusing through the local "village" - people everywhere, having dinner, socialising, smiling having fun and what not and i think to myself -
this is pretty sweet...
speed limit is 50km and im currently idleing down through the village at whopping 40 clicks, past a zebra crossing, look in the rear view and see a
car pull out approx 300m back....
once through the village i increase my speed to 50kms and am happilly on my merry way - have a look in the rear view again to see the car that pulled
out behind me racing down through the village - through the zebra crossing to catch up with me - "let the fun begin" i'm thinking....
then comes the lights - so i pull over. a young lady officer approaches (part I) on my driver side......
"have you been drinking tonight sir?"
"why did you feel it necessary to speed up sir?"
"this is an rbt sir... blow untill i say stop sir...."
"do you have id on you sir?"
"have you had any past offences with the law sir?"
"where do you live sir and where are you heading sir?"
then i got the "ok - wait here and i'll be back in a minute"
the young male officer approaches from the passenger side......
"have you been drinking tonight sir?"
"what are you doing driving tonight sir? - where are you going sir?"
"has this car been lowered sir?"
"why did you lower the car sir?"
the female officer returns (part II)
"has this car been lowered sir?"
"why doesnt the deck lid close sir?"
"im going to let you off with a warning sir - but i will be watching you sir"
"you have been listed sir"
"i recommend you calm down sir"
the female officer pulls out the note book - checks the height - the two officers then debate if legal height is the note book or a coke can.... and
send me back on my merry way....
love it

They can be trouble but you did the right thing.
I remember my bro pulled out of work once and got nabbed for not having his seat belt on. He was in a MK1 worked golf and he had the back seat out.
The cop asked him why he had been drag racing cos his back seat was out. TO which my bro replied. I have been fixing the fuel tank you idiot. BAd
mistake. got fined and the next week the cop waited for him and booked him 3 more times for separate offences. It pays to shut up sometimes

What all that translated to was...
"Ok so we pulled him over, checked his rego, checked his licence and did a warrant check, did a quick roadworthy on the car and found everything
perfectly legal and in order...
NOW THE NEXT POOR SOD IS REALLY GONNA GET HEAPS!! .

I have respect for police, they've let me off for numerous offenses (EG: 86 in a 60 etc...)
But they do get annoying.
