In Melbourne in Toorak Road where it crosses the railway line near the freeway the road used to go horizontal for the width of the tracks. The road
went up the hill on a fairly steep slope, flattened out for a few yards and then resumed the slope. I used to take my Mini Minor up that road with all
4 wheels in the air over the rail tracks. Going the other way it was less fun to bottom out on the flat bit. One night the police were chasing someone
in an old Holden FJ down Toorak Road. It did not slow down as it approached the railway line. The police slowed down and arrested the stunned driver
in a badly wrecked car.
