Pan ID Numbers

Can someone please tell me, can 2 pans have the same number? If they have a number that ends in 402 and 403 does that mean they were behind each other in the assembly line? Have a very freaky story if that is the case.

I have 3 54's at the moment. I have sold one to a friend and the pan of that car to another person in Melb as the owner of my Oct54 (white) was going to swap it onto a IRS pan. He has now changed his mind and wants to keep its standard pan but because I have already sold it I said if the dates are correct, would he like the pan off my other one. I had no idea what month my other one is and we met on the weekend to check it out. After removing the dust that has collected from 10 years storage I started reading out the numbers and as my friend was cross checking them to his he said 'what' and I repeated them again... bullshit! It happens that they are one number apart. It blew me away. Of all the 54's built and they could of gone anywhere, I currently own 2 inline off the production line. It is a bit of a shame that I am going to spit them but for the owner of my white one, you couldn't get a closer match for a new pan.
Spooky!

thats gotta be worth extra money... for someone. I recon you'd make a very tidy penny sending that to the UK or US.
