Adjusting worm and roller steering

Hey guyz,
Had a look in my manual and it says i need a puller and some other gear to adjust the steering on my 76 camper. Is there a quick way i can adjust it, i have pretty excessive play, about 1/8 turn before any steering action....

any ideas would be great, i wana get it done before i go away this weekend but dont have alot of spare time!

Thanks
Edward

If its anything like a Beetle steering box????

there is an adjusting screw on the top...
with a lock nut....
and You screw the adjuster in slightly...
with the steering wheel straight ahead,,
well ! the front wheels straight ahead.....

If its nothing like a VW Beetle steering box please don't read this
