Hello, just a quick question, where do you get whiteline swaybars form and how much are they?
Looking for type 3 ones to fit a 69.

I assume you mean for the rear of your TIII, Fireball xl5.... Right? The front has a swaybar built in and you cant buy HD ones for the front offf the shelf.... But they can be made... At a cost! I have a whiteline on the rear of my square and its very flat through the turns, but I feel it does hang down a little low... Its never touched anything, but it could be mounted a little closer to the torsion housing.... Even better would be to mount it above the transaxle with drop links.... I wonder if that would work???? Hmmmmm.

The top 'tube' runs an internal swaybar and the bottom 'tube' runs a torsion bar set (on bar per side)..... Thats why when you adjust the height of a TIII you only reposition one trailing arm per side.... The lower one.... And you can only buy a rear one and they only make them for IRS rearends.....

I got a front and rear for my type1 and they were $230.00 each.

This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

Yeah, but we are talking about TIII's... The rear swaybar is the same for the TI and the TIII..... But I think seagull's HR Holden one makes a nice compact rear bar and its potentially cheaper too!.... He gave me one the other day to try out on my Ragtop.... Cheers for that Neil!

page 98 of their cattle dog: http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/catalogues/WL_031.pdf

BWF10 22mm and
BWF10z 22mm adjustable

front Whiteline swaybars for a TIII.

But i think you're right about the top tube. i looked into the manual and it does look like a sway bar.

Contact "dumone" from this website, I'm pretty sure he can get them for cheaper than retail.

Cheers

Or it might have been Craig Torrens who I was thinking about, shoot them both a U2U and see how you get on.

Cheers again

Well there you go... They never use to make'em for TIII's, but I guess its a good thing they do... the stock one is pretty slim.... Kinda like the OEM bug ones... VERY thin!
