Mystery in Brisbane!

Was driving home at about 1am this morning when as i approached Montpelier road junction on abbotsford road the police had blocked off all lanes in both directions for what appeard to be a 2 car accident on the inbound lanes. One of the vehicles was a VW bug.

What was mysterious about it was that the vehicles were a lane apart and seemingly undamaged. So why block off all 6 lanes?

It was very strange, their doesnt appear to be anything in the papers about it. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it?

Probably a bomb scare. All it would take is one young numbskull to point and say "what a bomb", and some other idiot to hear the word "bomb" out of context and quickly phone the Police, then a dopey cop takes it seriously without asking questions and hey presto, "bomb scare"...:bounce

Could have been something else though...

maybe a speed chase, or cops making a move in someones house, or a drug scandle, or maybe a cat got stuck in a drain :o

Anything i spose. Maybe the dubber was arrested for going to slow, hehe.

was involved in a high pursuit chase last night - averaged speeds with the 2332 turbo upwards of +250km - caught the attention of many - had to stop though at montpelier junction to let go of the nando's portugees chicken i had for dinner (was much too hot, i don't recomend anything hotter than mild). this however allowed those chasing to finally catch up. only when i said i was carrying nando's chicken did alarm bells ring though for the police in turn they closed the whole road down. possibly to avoid injuring any inocent bistanders. i promised i would go quietly on the condition the media etc never found out...

hope that explains it all a little for everyone... apologise for the inconvenience for those travelling home at such early hours or the morning...
