where in gods name do i get tryes at a reasonable price

i need some new shoes for the oval. i went at got some quotes today and all four tyre joints wanted roughly 100 big ones per tyre. is this the right sort of money? i got pretty sick of each place telling me how hard 165/15s are to get hold of and when i asked where all the other beetle owners got there tyres i was presented with smartass comments. thought maybe some of you guys in melbourne might be able to give me some leads? thanks rob.
