Photos of Busahaulic's Subaru EJ22 into '79 bay conversion.
These pictures are from a fellow I met on the type2 list. This bus has been up and running for a year or two with good results. Includes details of
"spare tire" radiator and engine mount fabrication, as well as some cooling system details.

That 'spare tyre' radiator is brilliant! I HATE front-mount radiators - that one I LOVE!

Yeah, and he says it works great. In fact, too well if the weather is cold! He is contemplating an under-the-bus setup. but that seems a waste after
putting all that effort into the spare tyre setup!

So the airflow goes THROUGH the radiator and doesn't hit the front of the car and recirculate.(increases airflow):thumb

its at the front of the car, how can hot air blow back to the very front of the car when there is air/wind being pushed right at the front of the car
too, na i cant see the reasoning for that meter gap between the rad and the car...
it would cool fine without the huge gap, under the floor rad setups have to consider this hot air circulation, but front mount rads certainly dont,
i've never had any trouble at all
