it should bolt straight in with the gear i've got here!. i have the extra tinware and a new standard german exhaust [price that new!] you may have toswap your clutch over but from memory they are both compatable![1800 and 1600] but i will throw in both to make sure! how is airlie these days? i used
to be bosun on the solway lass operating for southern cross sailing adventures about 4 years ago! was there for 2 years or so! loved every minute!!
there is a guy in mackay that does dubs too! not much of a talker to start with , but a great bloke when you get to know him!! talk about aus history
and planes and u will be there all week!
cheers josh

no the 2L will not fit with out clearancing the bell housing which would leave it extremely weakened.

What did the motor come out of Josh.
I need to ask my mechanical genius if it would fit into my '68 Beetle?

it would be a t4 1800 ie out of a kombi. it will bolt in but will need to be converted to upright. its a nice size for a bug as it doesnt require an
engineers. i would had one of these instead of the 2L if i could of found one at the time
