FibreFab Rat Buggy - What's is worth?

surely it would need the compliance plates to be RWC'd legally yeah?

Still, nice buggy :)

Sorry I got your answer so deleted my post.
I thought that the whole thread would go.

Anyway since it is still here, I contacted Vicroads and they didn't have a problem with it.

I thought this was strange too, thats why I have now called them 3 times to check with different people and each time asking more in depth questions.

"Compliance plates go missing" was what the Vicroads guy said.

They have it registered as a VW 67 sedan "beach"
I explained that it was a fibreglass bodied beach buggy and he said that it was fine.

If they are OK with it, will insurancers touch it?

Details again,

FibreFab Rat
S/A rear KL&P front
wide 5 drums all around
Body and paint excellent
Floor OK
1500 dual webers
Remote oil cooler.
Yes, it's a Bennetton wheel...

By the sounds of it you are OK, as long as the numbers all match. The fact that you have 'Beach' on the papers helps.

OK,
So now it has a new Roadworthy Certificate.
I've confirmed that it is currently registered.

So, no blockers....

What are the insurance companies like with these?

Shannons were no problem.
Thanks for the input.

Do you really think it's worth $7500?
