bug bash backyard day at mates place!
Got some photos of a fun day , I do it often over at my mates place,
hoon in a late bug they got, didn't get pics of the early basher that was the main motivation to my craze, but this one is the one i have had more
fun in, cough cough... drifing... and sleddin' behind..
We tied an old sled to the back of it, was fun..., and absolutely sped insanely in the backyard drifting the corners etc... till we had probs with the
starter that wouldn't turn and make the engine work. (battery was alright)... so we had to push start a few times... even tried that dangerous jack
up one wheel, and spin in 4 th trick... didn't work! But... we got it going again after we push started
was also slowly unbolting a mates celica engine for replacement... was a good day.
heres the pics...
(BELOW: the ride i cruised in , don't worry purists, the cars already
dead, body not worth saving, already distroyed, hehe)

Was fun... finally taking a bug up to its full potential lol.
Both early and late bug aren't gonna be restored, the early was going to be... but the owner (best mates lil' bro) just got himself an MX 6. its a
very nice car :P:P, rather it than my 69 anyday.

Dean's got it on 2 wheels before, i wasn't that crazy enough to, although i just barely missed an old Cressenda they had parked out the back lol.
Tis gonna be my test field for the baja once i get it regoed. light, and easy. they don't look after the bug
though, the amount of dirt that must go through it. its airfilter is a tin can with a spunge, and i bet the fan shroud is filled with grass cuttings,
but ay FUN!!!lol.

Yup, i'm sure i was a miner in my past life, Haha.
Yeah, it was a chop top, not done my my mates bro, it was like that when he got it. but the job was good though, the outta rim of the chop is VERY
firm and doesn't flex at all. would run up to it, put a foot on a rear tyre and hop in via the roof (I call it the hillbilly method, lol)
the owner bought it from another fella by the coast, and the salt water spray has just absolutely rotted the thing. hard to see in these photos, casue
the paint is a similiar colour, but the body is long gone and dead.
i should have got some actionshots, especially of the skiing . Was
like water skying, i would go fast, and turn sharp, drift around, and Dean would be flying out the back towards the side like a real ski, u should
come over and have a go, Haha. Was the best hoon i have had in a while :P The thing could take pedal to the metal all day long.
