OK, been doing all sorts of odd jobs on this and the other car.
The oil lines were pretty butcherous old things that came from someones bathroom shower.
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/Img_1592.jpg
So I replaced everything from the case out to the filter bracket
with proper hoses that wont let me down or pop off.
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/Img_1593.jpg
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/Img_1595.jpg
I also remounted the coil on the shroud because before it was held in with a "Occy" strap.
Also had to repair the linkages, replace the points, re-synch the carbs, and do the tappets.
Nice and responsive now.
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/Img_1596.jpg
I have also replaced the guards and bonnet with the ones I got from Chris
and fitted a rear bumper to make it legal. Still needs painting, but have to
fit everything up first in case I find any nightmares.
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/Img_1598.jpg
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/dangerous_05/Img_1597.jpg
Still needs new tyres and fix the interior.
Also found the clutch cable tube is broken and short(!) so will do that next.
So much for a quick fix for transport.

Nothing much new to report.
Clutch tube is fixed, and the dual diafragm clutch has been replaced by a stock one.
Just having the seat repaired and I can give it a test drive.

Not sure what step to take next..
Scrap it and strip it, or paint it and drive it? Hmmmmm.....

I dont blame you for changing the clutch. My left leg was twice as big as my right when i owned it so many years ago.

i suggest keep and paint. it has potential

The more quick bugs on the street on the coast the better.

Must do something aboutv that 40 horse beast in the back of mine.
We need to meet drink beer and talk engines for my little project.

Nothing wrong with a good 40 horse.
My favourite stocker is a single port 1300..a little slow, but a good solid engine.

Speeds costs money...how fast do you want to go?

Cheers

Well, today I sais Sayonara to this bug.
Thankfully I was able to give it a bit of a test cain on a private road before saying good-by.
The money will fund some three-phase power for my new lathe,
and it has gone to a good home, so all is not lost.

I might be back again Rod for another adrenilin rush.

Fast Volksies are fun!

That was fun . Did you notice if the brakes worked ?
You could always convert your Keegan car back to a hill climber.

Yes the brakes did work a bit....front anyhow.

Ahhh...hill climbs hey?!
Probably need a bit more power for that in my white car.
