Automatic Manx

Ok here is the start of my project, I'm not expecting this to be finished in a hurry but you have to start somewhere. So to start with I have this

And then we add this an EJ22+Type 3 Automatic

I think this might keep me busy:crazy:

I've 2 superbug pans and a '70 swingaxle pan so I'll get the best bits together to make up a spare pan with liftkit, bj frontend, irs and 2mm checkerplate pan halves. This will give me a base to set up the auto and ej22 on, and work out a subframe to support the engine and transmission.

I just like the idea. Plus I hate changing gears(arthritis) and I have 4 autos to play with.
The transmission can handle the power of an EJ22 and I think it will be so smooth when it's finished.

Do you have a Smokey Dawson recliner to put in for the driver's seat too?:P

But seriously, I sometimes wonder whether I should have done this...AH what am I talking about! I love dumping the clutch in a patch of gravel. :thumb

Ok, I've come across another conversion on shoptalkforum

http://www.shoptalkforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=722376#722376

he's doing a volksrod project, I don't know yet if his conversion method will be suitable for my project but it's an interesting project.
