Queenslander soon to be lost in Melbourne (I will need directions)

I am flying down next week to pick a Kombi I brought off ebay (eBay Kombi link, click here if you want to see me).

I need to get from Melbourne airport to Ballarat. Any suggestion on he best and cheapest way (bus, train, hitch-hike etc)

I then need to start a kombi that hasn't been for 12 months and drive home to Toowoomba QLD.

The previous owner says the carbys are a bit out but it should be OK, he hasn't tried to start it. My guess is that the battery may be flat as wel

Any AVD in the area wanting to lend a hand just to ensure I can get it started. Maybe I would need a jump start and some fresh fuel?

Any suggestions or helper down that way who want to help ?

I am planning to do this late next week.

Jeremy

Melbourne? Oh dear, you'll definately get lost! From what I've heard it's far greater than Brisbane.
Good Luck!

that's a toughie... public transport from melb to ballarat would have to be trains... check out the V-Line trains as they run from melb to major country towns etc. http://www.vline.com.au  and you can check out the times and fares.

good luck

catch the skybus from the airport to southern cross station, where you can hang off the back off a train all the way too ballarat.
