Typ1 squeezer
used on road construction sites, zylinder 1&2 runs as engine, 3&4 as air squeezer.

Nice photo!
This type of compressor based on the Type 1 motor was also quite common in Australia, with many being used for e.g. railroad maintenance.

some of the ADF dude will prolly be familar with a VW powered generator that used to be common. Had one at my last unit. never, ever got used but
every couple of months it would go for a service. prolly the best maintained engine in the RAAF
