Computer Help
I have bought a Compaq lap top Evo N600c 2nd hand from a govt dept and they sell them without an operating system.
These have an external CD drive that plugs in from the back
I have XP Pro on a CD
I cant seem to boot from the CD
I go into set up and i have the choice of biit from
1) Multibay?
2) Hard disc
It has a floppy. Do I have to boot from this ???

The Multibay in Compaqs is a hardware bay that can support extra drives (CD or HDD) or an extra battery.
You will probably have to boot from the floppy. Any post 98 boot disc should give you access to the CD drive (W98 boot floppy is best as it's a
single disc).

OK.... sort of understand
I made a boot disc and got that to register but yeah.... i need to make a 98 Start Up disc or something.
Anyway....a mate is some how going to email me one and i will go from there.
