VW rebuild

Hi

I have recently (Friday) purchased a beetle. It's basically a resprayed rolling shell (a jeans 74 edition). I am looking to rebuild it and have most of the parts which are new.

Can anyone provide any links to resources that may be useful to me. i.e. how to rebuild your VW. :-).

Thanks very much for your help.

CAN NEVA go wrong with a mechanics, authentic workshop manual too! I had the idiots guide, was GREAT TOO. Didn't satisfy me enough when i wanted VERY specific details and explanations of my exact models, + i found that most of the hands on things weren't that full on in it that i would want. Most yes... but not all.

But i couldn't live without it. Having both together, idiots guide and workshop manual is the perfect indestructible combo of the century. Go that way, and with avd for further questions, then ur set brother!

Hi

Thanks everyone.

I'm based in the UK. Not really had much experience yet rebuilding. Basically I've got a load of new parts, and I don't know where they go. I've done a quick serach for the idiots book but I can't find it yet (ebook, amazon). Will have to look further.

I'll check out the guide on here too.

Cheers.
