vwrx radiator placement


Hi, im currently doing a subaru wrx conversion on my 1952 split bug and i dont really wanna make holes in the bonnet for the air to get the rad.... what are the best placements for raditors in a bug ?

i've heard of up front, underneath the gearbox, inside in the firewall and on a huge rear wing.....

what is best ?
any pics woujld be helpfull

do a search in this part of the forum with the word "radiator" and you'll find a bucket load of stuff. ;)

BTW, love the idea of a subie in a 52 split!

Cut the bonnet if you want it up front. Nothing is irreversible.

you're a bad man HRM :lol:

In the spare wheel well with a scoop cut into the panel underneath. Then you seal the radiator in so the air has to go through it out the panel in front of the beam.

AS I said, there are a number of past posts covering this.
