windscreen, brakes, etc etc
howdy im the proud new owner of a few vw buggies lets just say right place right time the bloke b4 me got the shits and sold all his vw stuff at his
garage sale he bought this one as a project and decided he had no time to finish it i need to fit the windscreen ( the car came with a new one) cause
he broke the last one trying to fit it do i need spacers???? between the alloy frame and body???? also the brakes dont work the connector is off the
car and one hose fitting is broken (the one for the back brakes) i have managed to get it out of the connector but a bit of steel hose is still inside
do i need a mobile mechanic to fix this??

If you are not sure about the brakes, get a mechanic, but they they really aren't that hard so it's worth having a go first. the windscreen should
just bolt up if you have all the right parts.

do yourself a favour and go drop into Custom offroad in Brisbane. They sell most parts for Manxes and can explain what you need to do both for the
windscreen and the brakes.

i'm confused on what a connector is on the brake system
but a mechanic can re-pipe your copper brake lines and also fit you out with the right size hoses (if you know nothing or little about brakes find a
person how does brakes are not something to tinker with)

thanks for the info guys im confident i can do this with a bit of help a little more info the "connector" is a master cylinder and i just cut the
broken end off the hose and used a nail to punch it out of the fitting... the "broken hose" is the rear brake line and because now it is too short
to join to the master cylinder i ahve 2 options 1. replace the whole line (its new) or 2. a flexable hose so i bought a flexable hose to close the gap
i still need a double flaring tool to fix the rear brake line b4 i attach the flexable hose thanks kawana brake & clutch and my video camera and
thanks pete i will drop into custom off raod
its just a car for f*%k sake
