Is this yours???? I just got another 2 ovals today. Bloody kronk(S MULLER) is the best salesman you will ever meet. Offers you a deal, then tells you
there is no point thinking about it...its a no brainer...next thing you working out the standard 2 week payment plan.

Lets do a reality show OVAL BUILDOFF..2 teams, 2 ovals...rotor vs suby. It can have the build episodes then a drag episode, circuit and hillclimb
shows...like the bug vs the crx in the states.

 Sponsors???? Muller and Muller??

Lets make it happen...come over to sydney and see what my car goes like anthony(eveyday with high k's) Paul (1303) with his ej20t bug went in my car
recently and said that there are cars you go in that are so quick that you feel nervous excitement when you get out...then there is mine, which you
feel sick!.. do not forget, there is more than just a drag race in that show...thats why it would be cool.

I have written the script already... 2 ovals, 2 engines, 2 teams...budgets released progressively to contain amount of mods weeekly...initial 3 x
drags x 3 weeks with $xxx per week once base car built. Then final shows (ten in total)with special event finishing at the nationals next year..or
Valla. at the show and shine.

I have been scouting for sponsors.. The cars would also have to pass engineering for the show to e "REAL"

 It will be called OVALHAULIN

I will sell the idea to a network, and they can sponsor it!

 There can be a series...oval v mini
 oval v mg
 oval v holden
 oval v ford etc.

 Im excited.

I'd back the rotor if you get to rebuild it first.
I'll back the subie if they're junkyard special.

BTW, where are you exactly Matt. I might need to come out so you can make me feel sick.

does that mean you'll build 2 minis, holdens, MGs and fords with a rotor and a subie in each. Love to see that. At last the MG and the mini could get
a real motor instead of those horrible wheezy boat anchors the english call engines. :puke

to make this any sort of contest you'd have to use one of rigoli's 2.5 strokers as i think the quickest subie in the world is dom
rigoli @9.1--148mph that doesnt even get in the top 10 quickest rotors in aus.the 10th fastest rotor in aus is a clear second quicker
and theres 5 street rotors quicker than rigoli's drag car subie vs rotor NO BRAINER maybe rotors vs fj20s in ovals would be a better contest and
lleave the subie to vs vw/autocraft a more even playing ground i volunteer to steer any

As I said before. If the motors are junkyard specials the subie will win for sure. Every 2nd hand rotor I've ever heard of needed a rebuild and a new
turbo at least. Subies on the other hand seem to be almost bullet proof...coz from what I understand the only thing that killed boofs first motor was
poor servicing on the lifters before he got it. Also, the rigoli's fastest car is AWD, which is almost a completely new endeavour in drag racing.
People only started seriously racing AWDs about 10 years ago. So it's not really a fair comparison.

 8.34sec 1/4 @ 158mph (Rigoli's STI) VS 7.89 @ 168mph (G.Mercevski in an RX3)

There's the difference in the times. Imagine if you put the rigoli's 2.5l stroker in a serious RWD car. I suspect the times would similar.

Thanks Pete, I too thought the Rigoli's had broken that pesky 9 second barrier a while ago.

Also, I'd love to see a suby in a serious RWD car.

Ona different topic - worlds fastest Camry - 7.03 second 1/4 !!!! have a look in the current Zoom. 1JZ with about 1160kw, not bad for 2.5L

1J is 3litres isn't it?....Just looked it up, I'll be damned, that is awesome for a 2.5l. I know people avoid 1Js cause they make too much torque as
compared to a RB26.

 nice.

Be interesting to see how a Subie could go. I was ponder the idea of the conversion this morning. The bitch would be the ignition setup. EJs are crank
triggered and run off the computer so it could be a bit of a pain.

 Yeah Pete, 1JZ = 2.5L, 2JZ = 3L

The 1JZ is the most understated engine of the 90's I think..... bulletproof bottom end (like most Toyo's)

talk to your local mechanic orand 9/10 say vw's are boat anchors because they havent had much to do with them and therefore dont understand them the
same goes for rotors because they are "unconventional" its a fact for a reason no-one in the top 10 quickest four cyl's run subie motors !!!and the
10th fastest rotor is still quicker than "world beating rigoli" as a matter of interest i run a ej20t sti in my dual cab but also have a 13bpp in a
rx7

Do not forget kids that the Oval haulin episode rules state that the cars must be engineered. So the rota will not be a 13b. The cars will also be
required to drive to the events...the builds will be totally individual. Remember that within the budgets you have to choose and run a vw box(build it
yourself if need be) and suspension and brakes must be able to do a circuit, and maybe a hilclimb. The balance between handling, drag racing and
reliability, will mean(i hope) that it will not be as onesided as you think.

WRX's have always been a challenge to get moving due to the weight and the time taken to get those 4 wheels spinning. Those quick rota times are in
cars easy under 900kg, similar to a bug to start with.

There is only one way to find out and it will be on
 OVAL HAULIN.

If those rough as guts idiots on Orange County Choppers can make a show....well why cant we. Maybe dropping engine parts, while using a step drill to
make the engine mounts fit is what people want?

 what no 13b
well there goes the idea of the 20bpp i wont pretend to know
anything about icv's(thats already been done here) but i did think if the pockets were deep enough you could get just about put any motor in anything
if you could get power to weight within the tolerances even if it was full of lead
