Some more details Rhys??? Is this a stock bay? How was it lowered?
I think you'll find most Kombi's with tyres that big have more mod's done too them. Not too sure on the lowered Kombi's, but all the raised ones with large tyres have the gaurds cut back and the rims offset out to get the clearance.
I can JUST fit 215/75R15's front and rear with no mods. The front tyres rub in the gaurd before I bottom out the suspension and rub on the torsion bar before I get full lock.
225's on a 16" rim will definitely have more troubles than me!!

This Bay was VERY low!!!!

Hmmm... Learning more every day. Apparently there is a number stamped on the Merc rim which indicates the offset. So not all merc rims are the same.
I just got lucky with mine I suppose.
Thanks for the info Marcel :thumb

I'm running 16x7.0 with 225/50 all round on my crew cab. I have no scrubbing or wearing problems. Not exactly sure what the rims are off as they were on the car when I brought it. All I know is they are BBS rims.

My rear gaurds have been been tubbed to fit the rears in though.

I reckon the 16" tyres with 225 rubber look pretty dam good:thumb
