T5 Transporter
Here's a shot of our new T5 Van.. Been on the road for a couple of weeks
Yes, the other vehicle is our '71 T2 Dual Cab.. Still moving freight and doing about 700K's a week on a shitty old 1600 Type 1 motor.. Not Bad for a
35 year old Ute!!
The T5 is an awesome piece of machinery.. We have just ordered a T5 Dual Cab (Cab/Chassis) to put a "two pallet deck" on the back..
All with a 1.9l turbo diesel.. The diesel takes a while to get full fuel economy (about 30,000 k) but we now get 800K per tank (about $85 refill) in
general round town use with the Caddy.. We have had the Caddy for a year now and it is fantastic..
Anycase.. Thought you might be interested!~!
Cheers.. Rob

Is it a VW, not real keen on the whole front wheel drive/forward motor. Are these Dubbs walk through still, asking because i havent even looked at
one. I like the tail to drive and the forward to steer. Old School Style
Keep the steering and the propulsion seperate . Still a Kombi...
It's all good, until it's bad, i suppose

I like the 1600 due to it's power output.. 1 tonne on the back is no big deal.. Also it is an indestructable motor.. My mechanic tells me NEVER to
change into the 1916 (or back to an 1835 which it used to run) they are not suitable for work.. and he's right..
Yes the T5 is a walkthrough but has a cargo barrier in place..

Nice T5 mate. The old commercials are great, and they never cease to amaze people. My older commerials are the weekends now, and have a T4 cab chassis
for the week days. The modern commerials are fantastic work horses and no matter how much punishment you deliver them they still drive like new the
next day. Caddys are great to, amazing how much crap you can fit into the back of them. Well done mate, nice fleet.

Doesnt the 1 side cargo door give you the #%^#. I had to switch over to the other evil side (merc vito) where two side cargo doors are standard. Still
prefer a T5 but thats life i guess. Happy motoring:thumb

done up to the max, but i cant get past the front wheel drive thingi accept modernisation. When are we goiing to see this???
