In 1973 when I was travelling between Algeria and Morocco there was a Peugot 404 that the customs agents had opened up with an axe. It was parked in
no man's land at the border. Every panel on the car, including the rocker panels was cut wide open. I wish I'd photographed it, but we were told not
to take any pictures.
