Tassupervee's hillclimb --NOT!

Been working on my 1600 turbo fun machine engine getting it ready for the Domain hillclimb which is on in a month or so down here in Hobart.
Its a very cool event (no pun) that is run less than 5 minutes from the center of Hobart by my car club.

Anywhoo, I thought id have a read of the supp.regs.... only to find a sneaky sub-clause hidden in there that reads:

Quote:
Only vehicles having a minimum seating capacity of two persons and having covered wheels & tyres are eligible to ente

Fuck that. I can fuckinwell assure you that has ruined my frikken day..........:puke

Arseholse knew i was going to enter the Vee.
Blatant discrimination. Go figger.
I was seriously looking forward to doing that event.:cussing:cussing:cussing:cussing:cussing:cussing

Im seriously considering mounting a go-kart seat above the engine (dickie seat) and fitting some plastic 44 gallon drum bottoms cut out to make dodgey wheel covers to get thru scrutineering just to ruin their frikken day.:repuke. The rule is so badly written and full of holes Id only have to have the shit there for scrutineering and remove it for competition.
There is no mention of how long the stuff actually needs to be there is there!
Since it does not specify the the seat and covers need to be in place in competition then Im free to remove them and run on the day and fight it out later.:vader
Arseholes! Bah! :vader

Well, just to get the ball rolling without too many tears, Ive had it agendered for the next club executive meeting along with a nice little covering letter asking for a comprehensive please explain.
As much as Id like to go ahead and do the seat and wheel cover thing just to see how they'd got out of it, I do have to get along with these people and so ill do it thru the appropriat channels. this way they have to have their P's & Q's well in order or they risk looking foolish in front of the club membership.
I like to cause discomfort this way, kinda just keep giving them the rope, so to speak!
Meeting is on in a week or so.
Thatll set the cat amongst the pidgeons!!!!!!:punk:

ill keep you posted!

Hi Pete
sadly, due to work, I was not able to make the exec meeting and then due to other circumstances i was not able to make the actual hillclimb itself.

The club has been very quiet regarding my issue and requests for info via email have resulted in a loud silence.

Id say the potato is still mighty hot right now and they may be hoping for it to cool off a bit since the hillclimb has been run and won.
I cannot do the Collinsval hillclimb as the road is too rough and the cars return to stage via a public road that is open. I can get around the travel stage with either restricted registration or just have my crew drive the trailer up and bring it back that way, no biggie.
So itll be another 12 months before they think the heat will be on them again.

But, i will keep heating it up when they are not looking and keep yous posted.

:td:

:( What is wrong with people? A little power goes straight to their head. I thought the whole idea of hillclimbs was getting lots of different cars all having a go a the same hill.
