pricing on new engine and/or gearbox


hullo,

can anyone give me any idea where to start looking for new type 4 engines and/or gearboxes? perhaps even some prices? i wouldnt even know if they are still being made... but if not, anyone know a price on a rebuilt type 4 engine and/or gearbox?

ive heard huge prices... but i need to confirm.

69' baja: kombi box, thing spindles, irs, disc front, type 3 rear drums, 2 inch lift kit, 31x10 rears. :tu:
New engine in process: 94mm p&bs, 74mm C/w chomol Crank, 35.5x39 SP heads, turbo. Wierd combo, hopeful torque monsta!

I think the Remtec 1800 and 2000 are around $4000 exchange
and 1600 Mexican are being quoted in WA at $2500 installed
