Lived in the area for a lot of my life.

Best area to live at the moment would be Boat harbour if you want a bit of seaside style of living.
Corlette is your sort of Yuppy area.
Tanilba is a very damp boggy area when its been raining and there really isn't much out there.
to nelsons bay its about a 20 min drive to tanilba.
but Anna Bay, Birubi Point, Boat harbour, Fingal Bay, Fishermans bay, little beach, soldiers point, corlette, shoal bay are all good areas to live.

wow! your missus get the job up there eh? better start fish oiling your dubs. Anna Bay, just round the corner from Nelson bay, is one end of Stockton beach. Might be time to buy a buggy. ;)

I'll come and stay and we can go hooning on the dunes.

yeah, kinda worried about the salt thing...thanks everyone...getting a perm job up there is rocking horse stuff, so can't knock it back, kids are gonna love it, and still not too far away from Sydney...buggy eh? - yeah I could cope with that...not really a 'boat' person, seems like a lot of hassle...buggy and a sea kyak sounds more the go.
