WTB- Bull Bar in Victoria for 76 Kombi
Hello,
I am repainting my 76 Kombi and would like to put a new bull bar on it. The one currently on Bob has poles and stuff that a PO put on there
(presumably for awnings?). We just want a fairly simple one that protects the front end and has a place for the spare wheel.
We are in Melbourne, so prefer to get one around here if possible.
Thanks for any help you might have.......

Dude, there are a few (I think.. at least one last time I looked) at the wreckers on Centre Road (the road that goes through Clayton), near the
Springy 5-Ways, past Westall Rd Extension. There are about four Bays there, a few had bull-bars and some had tow-bars. Two 1800 (AP-) motors too. One
Bus was a Deluxe, and there's a fair bit of the original interior trim there, not excellent condition.
Let me know if you need help. I live nearby and could grab it for you next time I'm there .. or at least tell you how much they want for it.
Cheers, A.

Volkspower @ Burwood have dozens of them out the back... go see matt or dean and squeeze them for a bargain.

Hi John,
I have one which is stock. It has a little rust on it, but after a clean up and paint it would be great. Still on my kombi at the moment. Am only
changing for one which the tyre carrier is orientated around the other way. $50.00... Can take pics if interested.
Cheers,
Toby.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, and in good condition- but rather tossed in sideways - Beer in one
hand - chocolate in the other - body totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride"

Thanks guys!
I'll probably head out to burwood tomorrow or Monday and see what they have out there.
The one I have isnt too bad, but it needs pcs of rubber between the bar and the bumper so as not to bang around. It has a special plate underneath
which is clearly only there to mount the bull bar to.
Will most bull bars require some type of welding underneath or should they just bolt up using the same bolt holes (longer bolts perhaps) that the
bumper uses?
Toby, I'll let you know if Volkspower doesnt have one that suits.
Cheers,
JRWjr

Bull bars should bolt to existing points, and at most require a couple of holes in front bumper at the bottom to fit last brackets to.
