http://wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php

This one is cool,
my 0 to 60mph time was 3.04 seconds on my 7.39@93.55mph run at Warwick.

The car is doing 64mph at the end of 2nd gear, so that is pretty close!

On my best at Warwick with the old blower set up it was 6.19@116.

That equals 1.66 sec to 60mph!

Give these a try!

Dave,

If you like numbers, and have Excel 2000 or better on your computer, then have a go of this;

http://www.offroadvw.net/exceldyno/

It predicts my friends 11second R32 GTR perfectly.

Is that with your current engine from 1/8 mile time Craig?
What speed and car weight was that?

What a rocket for a 1915 !

That was my 1999 1/8 mile time.

Trying to work out my HP are we !:P
The car has had changes since then ,would be interesting to know what my current twin plug combo would do.:thumb

Yes it would be very interesting.
I am always interested to compare different combos,
and using weight and termanal speed always allows
apples to be compared with apples.

Either way, it is a good effort!

The Excel Dyno. It predicts vehicle acceleration, and you can easily calculate the effect of different gear ratios, changing gears at different points, etc.

My friend has an R32 GTR, and he also has a dyno sheet for it. When you enter his car details into the program it predicts his quarter mile time pretty much spot on. It matches his time slips.

Thanks for the explanation Wes.

For some silly reason I thought you were refering to an r32 Golf...hence the "what the!"

Must get that program in my comp.

some of the programs are pretty close to what I know I had in my combos,hp on old car = e/t, mph vs weight.Dave it is like we talked about ,they are great tools if you can put realistic numbers in,and use the charts for comparisons. Mike
