Just scored a new ride to add to the collection
Here's the new toy. 1972 Kombi Camper $400, I scored it off a couple of backpackers hard up for a buck, ( engine problems and they have no idea).
They actually bought the Kombi 4 days ago with the intention of traveling around Aus, the car died 2 days after they handed over the $$.
The scarey thing is they paid $1600, 4 days ago, from a canadian couple hard up for a buck and sold it to 4 days later.
There's very little rust, which I found strange for a WA car, but anyway. Great little score and the wife even likes this one. I think she like's
the idea of camping as a family in VW style.
The plan is to do a snappy resto in a Filmore Style (my sons idea) or should I say Baylmore.
So watch this space
