Basically her argument was " believe no one, find out as much information as you can, from as many different sources as you can, and then come to
your own conclusions."

I've just had builders 'round my house this week and so far one carpenter, two plasterers and one painter had a mate/brother/uncle etc with a vw
with porche engine/ beach buggy that did wheel stands/ all the usual crap that now I just nod and agree with as I just can't be bothered to argue the
toss with.

Occasionally I get out the 914 can of worms and either tell these type of blokes that my Kombi has a Porsche engine, or give it to em straight and
explain that the Porsche has a Kombi engine, not the other way round heheh... just depends upon whether or not I feel like causing trouble!
You should see some of em turn green with envy, cos half the time they don't have the foggiest idea what the 914 even is... they just figure
porsche=holyshitthatsfastandfancy... never realising that it performs scarcely better than an Excel!
