Daisy 2

Well - it was time for Daisy to move on.
Sadly she was sold cheaply on ebay - didnt have the heart to strip her. Wallet says i should of but she was sold to a bloke semi locally who should use here. just didnt have the time or inclination.

Any way i bought Daisy 2.
A 1990 WBX auto
She has all the good gear. Power steer, air cond, central locking etc etc
I kept the cookies - but these will be for sale soon. Thinking of getting some 17" Fuchs - maybe??
A few things need doing. Air cond needs a top up. Central lock on the sliding door, electric mirrors, a good clean.
Doent matter - everything is solid and this is one of the cheapest busses i have seen in a long time.

A bit miffed when i bought it. Replacement motor fron AVS and the bloke put new gaskets, rings, torque converter, water pump etc etc in, but AVS sold him a 1.9L not a 2.1.
Originally i was peeved but it has all the 2.1L fuel injection and water pipes. I goes as good as other 2.1L i have driven and the fuel economy is great.
Short trips and i am getting 13L/100kms - bloody happy with that!
So - i was happy when i bought it. Still happy now.

This is very tidy inside. 7 seater. Much better than the 8 seater i had. So much easier to get in and out of.

miss the bright yellow though. :sniffle:

Anyway..... introducing Daisy 2 to the family :beer

I hate to say - but HEAPS!!

Power steering
Captains chairs
sliding door a breeze

The big trouble with the change was the emotional. Daisy was such a bright thing. EVERYONE knew her.
Daisy 2 is.....well........ a white van
We are thinking what to do here.

The reason i changed was This was cheap and so many things worked better.
